My Collection of Vintage Food Toys

Toy Collector

Last week I shared an eBay haul post featuring a lot of vintage food toys that I won at auction.  While sharing the photos, I mentioned here and there if I already had an item belonging to a set.  This week I thought it might be fun to show you what I've already got in my collection, check it out:

So first things first, what do I do with all of these collected toys?  Some of them I keep in my "bakery" (the storage closet where I house my off season fake bakes), some of them go into my playhouse shed (I'll give a tour in the future), and if they are very realistic looking, then I might tuck them in with my fake bake displays.

This photo shows my bakery storage closet with the set of drawers that holds food toys.

Toy Collector

For the photo tour I pulled everything out into the front hall so I could organize between what would stay in the bakery and what would go out into the playhouse shed.  If it's in a bin then I haven't shared it yet and you will see the photos here.  If it's in the stacked drawers, then it's from the eBay haul and going out into the playhouse shed.  You can see everything from that haul post here

Here is what's in those bins:

Camping

Most of this came from Amazon, the little worms from this fishing playset, the big fish here and the campfire and s'mores I can't find in my Amazon history - they might be a Walmart find, I'm not sure.  I loved the size and shape of the toy s'mores and used them to make silicone molds from.  I then used those molds to make some s'more fake bakes.

Toy Collector
Lunch & Dinner

My favorite here is the MTC lunchmeat sandwich.  I can still remember Christmas when I was in first grade and I received this set along with a bean butt Cabbage Patch preemie doll.  I was so happy!

Toy Collector
Fast Food

Some of this is Fisher Price and some miscellaneous.  I want to collect more of the Fisher Price McDonalds.

Toy Collector
Sushi & Chinese

I hate the idea of sushi in real life, but these are too cute not to keep!

Toy Collector
Breakfast

The waffle maker is still available at Dollar tree, the milk, eggs and blueberry muffin mix are fisher price.  The mini pancakes are from a game.  I don't know what the point of the game was, I just saw it at a garage sale and bought it for the pancakes and butter toys 😄

Toy Collector
Produce

These are always so bright and cheerful!

Toy Collector
Trays

The larger trays are from Dollar Tree toy sets, the smaller one is I think Step 2.

Toy Collector
Toy Collector
Box of Chocolates

I love this set because it looks like a Valentine box of chocolates, but it's actually a preschool matching game for shapes and colors!

Toy Collector
Sweet Treats

Some Fisher Price, MTC, Dollar Tree and miscellaneous here.

Toy Collector
Cakes

The Fisher Price Fun With Food cakes in chocolate and vanilla.

Toy Collector
Ice Cream

So many ice creams!  When I was in elementary school, one of my friends had the Fisher Price ice cream container and scoops.  I wanted that set soooo badly...achievement unlocked 😎

Toy Collector
Dishes

An entire drawer of dishes, utensils and other accessories.  My favorite here is the cookie cutter set with the fake dough that you can 'cut' shapes out of.  That was a Dollar Tree find.

eBay Haul: Vintage Fisher Price Fun With Food Toys

Vintage Toys

One of the things that I love to collect are vintage food toys from the 80s and 90s - things that I had myself, things that I wanted or things that just make me feel happy nostalgia 😊  I have a list of pieces that I'm looking for whenever I garage sale, thrift or browse online and was lucky enough to come across this eBay listing that contained a ton of what I wanted.  Check out the haul:

I grouped all of my photos into pairs with the top picture showing you the boxed set from when the toys were originally released and the bottom picture showing you what I received in the haul.  The top photos are sourced from the internet while the bottom photos are my own.

Fun With Food Soup & Sandwich Set

Everything from this set was contained in the haul.  I was especially pleased that the bologna and cheese package was still intact.

Vintage Toys

Fun With Food Taco Deluxe

The haul didn't contain the ketchup, taco shell or the tomato, but I already have those.

Vintage Toys

Fun With Food Homemade Pizza

I'm still on the hunt for the cloth pizza dough bag, but I'm super happy to have all of the pizza ingredients!

Fun With Food Steak Dinner

No fries came in this haul, but it did include two steaks.  These steaks are supposed to change color when the bottom of the spatulas are rubbed on top of them.  The padding from the spatulas is no longer in place, but that's ok.

Vintage Toys

Fun With Food Burger Deluxe

The toppings that are missing from this haul I already have in my collection.  The tiny salt and pepper shakers I have too, but not with these kinds of food toys.  I have the vintage Fisher Price Magic Burner Stove set and they go with that.

Vintage Toys

Fun With Food Whistling Teakettle Set

I was pleased to get the teakettle and cups for my food toy collection.  I have the plates already, but they also go with the Magic Burner Stove.

Fun With Food Super Skillet Breakfast Set

The entire set in full, and the skillet still makes noise!  Score!

Vintage Toys

Fun With Food Cake Baking Fun

This was my absolute favorite set when I was a kid and I actually already have it in full....but I'm not sad to have another.  And now I have the whisk in yellow and purple 😉

Fun With Food Baking Fun

I wanted this set so badly when I was little, but outgrew it by the time the next holiday season came around and lost interest.  I've got it now though...totally normal for a middle aged woman...😄

Vintage Toys

Fun With Food Party Time Dessert Set

I have everything in this set except the blue plates, but I'll never turn down extra ice creams and cupcakes!

Vintage Toys

Fun With Food Baby Mealtime Set

I also already have the complete baby mealtime set so this extra plate and cookies will go out in the playhouse shed.  The full set I keep with my collection of vintage Cabbage Patch and Magic Nursery dolls - I'll share posts about the playhouse shed and doll collections in the future.

There were also some miscellaneous Fisher Price items, as well as other brands included in the lot:

Vintage Toys

Some random Fisher Price.  I'm glad to have the little baskets, they will help with storage in the playhouse.

Vintage Toys

These cookies are from the Playskool Magic Lemonade Party set that was released in 1993.  I was too old to be interested in these kinds of toys then, so I hadn't even heard of the set until now, but aren't they cute?!  If you flip them over they look like animal crackers.

Vintage Toys

My favorite bonus:  All of these vintage MTC food toys!  While most of the toys that I had when I was younger were Fisher Price, I did have a few of the MTC as well.  I loved them because they were so realistic and now I stick them in with my faux food displays.

Here are some close-ups:

I love how realistic they are.  These I keep with my faux food displays instead of my toy collections because they look so real.
