Christmas Holiday Home Decor

In the dining room is a smaller tree with a village underneath.  The houses themselves are cookie jars, so they don't light up, but I've added a strand of lights into the faux snow.

The shelves are filled with photos of the kids at Christmas over the years as well as a couple of coordinating wreaths.

Lighted Christmas Tree

Here is the dining room tree at night.

Christmas Holiday Village

And here is a close-up of the village.  The larger trees I picked up at a yard sale, but the small bottle brush trees and people can be found at Dollar Tree.  You might notice that there are people snowball fighting on a roof and someone is stuck in a tree - this set gets played with a lot 😄

I would prefer that the light strand be white (instead of green) so that it could blend in better with the snow.  For now I toned down the green by tying strips of tulle around the strand.  I think I would copy this even with a white strand because it gives a softer glow to the lights.

On the table is a bowl filled with faux clove oranges.  This post will show you exactly how I made them.  Through the window into the breakfast room you can see my candy themed tree - I'll share that room soon!

Mini Artificial Christmas Tree Decorating Idea

In the kitchen are a few touches of Christmas.
This small burlap wrapped tree and ceramic cupcakes sit in one corner.

On one counter I have a collection of artificial peppermint candies and this framed printable.

And in another corner is a collection of faux hot chocolates.  The spoons are plaster painted in acrylic and the marshmallows in the jar are made of clay. This tutorial will walk you through the making of the fake drinks.  If you are interested in the hot cocoa printable, you can find it here.

And there you have it, our Christmas kitchen and dining rooms.
