DIY Framed Skeletons

Halloween Decor

I wanted to add some framed skeletons to my Halloween decor and made up a couple myself.  Read on to see how easy you can make some up as well:

I started my project with a few thrifted frames and some Dollar Tree skeletons.  You can pick up your frames at Dollar Tree as well, you will just need to remove the glass for this project.

I sprayed my frames in gold because that's my favorite, but these would look great in any color you choose!

I decided to go with a 5X7 size for the little human skeletons.  While the paint was drying on the frames I cut some cream colored cardstock and glued it to the frame backing.  This made a simple and clean backdrop for the skeleton that goes with my home decor.

Using hot glue I fixed the little guy in place.

Here is how the pair turned out.  I like the gold and cream for my house, but there are soooo many options here.  You can customize them to fit your decor or make them Halloween traditional with orange and black.

My larger frame was too big for the cardstock that I had on hand and I didn't want any seams on the surface.  I decided to pull out some leftover contact paper with complimentary colors and covered the frame's previous artwork with it.

Using hot glue again I made sure that this bat was held tightly in place.
