Now on to the Kitchen:
Here are the listing photos of the kitchen.
The appliances and linoleum flooring were all original to when the house was built in1983!
Do you see how clean that refrigerator looks in the listing photos? I don't know what kind of filter/ photoshop magic was used but that is not how it looked when we took possession of the house. Also, all of the appliances in these photos look to be white, but in reality they are a beige/ cream color.
Aside from that though, the cabinet space is awesome!
Here is what we did:
I repainted all of the cabinetry in white and the walls in beige.
And my Husband and his Dad put down new tile.

We still want to replace the older appliances and change the countertop color, but here is how the kitchen looks now:
Three of the upper cabinets were glass fronts with faux stained glass. Since I am using the cabinets for storage and not display, I wanted them to be in a solid finish. I simply took out the glass panels, sprayed them in gold an popped them back in.
The other side of the kitchen was empty at first. I pulled the pantry from the breakfast room, repainted it and tucked it in next to the fridge. I also brought in my cupcake/ milk glass cabinet.
This refrigerator was our 'garage' refrigerator at the old house. The refrigerator that came with this house was soooo old that we stuck it out in the garage for now and brought this one inside just because it looks cleaner. The dishwasher has been replaced but we still need to get to the range/oven, wall oven and microwave. They actually work pretty well for their age but we are interested in appliances that are more energy efficient. The goals for this spring/ summer are solar panels and outdoor shed storage though. At least the solar panels will help with energy costs until we can swap out the appliances!
