Easter Decor Turned Halloween Tree

After transforming an old dollhouse into a Halloween decor, I've been wanting to add accessories like spooky trees and pumpkins. So far I've been limited to bottle brush trees that were darker shades of green and used moss to cover up the 'snowy' bases. But then I stumbled upon an old miniature Easter egg tree and thought, why not just recycle it?

Here is the Easter egg tree as I found it; white with a little bit of sparkle and 'potted' in a concrete round that was covered in burlap. I think I found this at the thrift store. I do remember it was only a couple of dollars 😊

It was super easy to spray paint the tree in black and then put the burlap covering right back on!

After that I hot glued tiny bits of faux moss here and there to add texture.

Wanting to add a bit of spooky, I removed the backing from a few plastic bat rings and glued them on as well. I picked up the bats from Dollar Tree where there are all kinds of cute Halloween embellishments. This year they even have bottle brush trees that are already colored in black, orange and purple!
