Another Rose Cloche

Beauty and the Beast

A year ago I shared this post where I upcyled an old dome clock into a Beauty and the Beast inspired rose cloche.  I'm adding on to the theme with another cloche, this time solidly filled with fat red roses, check it out:

Cloche

I found this really large cloche at Goodwill for $5.99 and snapped it up!  I wasn't sure at first how I would use it, but I really liked how my first rose cloche turned out and wanted to complement it somehow.

Red Roses

I have had this stash of red roses forever after finding them attached to a wreath at a garage sale.  I wasn't interested in the wreath at all but for only .25 (yes, one quarter) I bought the wreath just for the roses! 😁

The roses are really well made, large in size and with rich coloring.  It was one of those cases where they were too perfect to use and I loved just having them available... so never ended up doing anything with them.  But sitting in a bin was just a waste of their beauty, so why not 'store' them in a cloche?  This way I'm using them in my decor, but also not using them, see? They are kind of just still in storage if you think about it.  Now I can feel like I'm using them but also enjoy them 😉

I spray painted the wooden base gold and stuffed the interior with my fabric roses.

On it's own, the rose stuffed cloche looks a bit weird...

...but paired with my single rose it makes a nice set.
And that's how I put together my second rose cloche.

Tell me fellow crafters; do you use all of your supplies or is some of your stash really just for decorating your craft space?  I would love to see pics!
