Now on to the kids rooms:
This real estate listing photo shows the room that my daughter chose.
She opted to keep the chandelier, remove the shelving, replace the carpeting and have everything freshly painted in white.
While she didn't feel comfortable sharing photos of her entire space, I do have a few details:
The chandelier has been adorned with ornaments that sparkle in the light. On the wall behind is a light up moon and glow in the dark stars that she placed in the patterns of the constellations.
The nook next to the closet has a bookshelf that she covered with a curtain featuring a painting of The Great Wave. This way she can hide the clutter of the shelving and display a large piece of art as well.
You can find the two panel curtain set here.
For her window she chose black out curtains that have cut-outs of moons and stars. If she leaves them shut during the day, the light shines through like this!
You can find these here.

This listing photo shows the room that was chosen by my son.
He also preferred to only share a few details:
We painted the walls in a minty green and hung these led strip lights. They are remote controlled, can be set to various colors and even synced to music! The white lights are just regular holiday lights from Walmart. While there are actual curtains on the window, you can't see them due to the Mario blanket hanging in front. Fun lights means being able to keep rooms as dark as possible!
