In my faux pantry wall display is a set of canisters that I made over with paint and new labels. This is how I did it:

Here is how the set looked when I found them at the thrift store for $7.99. Made of wood and lacking proper seals, I'm not sure how anyone could keep any real food items inside unless the food was still in it's original packaging. The font was old-timey and the finish was pretty dinged up as well.
After cleaning I gave them a fresh coat of paint in gold...
...and then added new labels that I cut with my Cricut. Such a simple change made such a big difference! As I mentioned, I keep these canisters in my faux pantry wall display which you can see here.
