Resetting the Pie & Pudding Cabinet

 Fake Bakes

Continuing on with my cabinet cleaning and resetting, this week I tackled my faux pie and pudding collection, check it out:

Fake Bakes

Here is how busy everything had gotten.  There was also quite a bit of dust on the bottom shelf, even though the doors are always closed!

Some of the pieces hadn't kept well and were broken.

I peeled off any broken or cracked toppings.

And took the opportunity to 'brown' the crusts a little bit using a mixture of water and acrylic paint.

After the crusts dried I mixed up new filling (light weight spackle colored with acrylic paint) and refilled the pies.

After the fillings had completely dried, I reattached the toppings and embellished with more spackle.
Just put some of the light weight spackle in an icing bag and pipe on.

Just like with the prints from the faux cookie cabinet of last week's post, I replaced the prints in this cabinet as well.  You can download these (and all of my other printables) for free here!

I started refilling with the framed prints first.

And continued to build up the shelves until everything had been put back away.
