Cookie Pan Re-Style: Gingerbread House

Christmas

I thrifted a gingerbread house cookie pan and decided to give it a makeover, check it out:

Here is the pan as I found it for a couple of dollars.

After giving the pan a good cleaning, I spray painted it in an off white.

Next I used a brown acrylic to hand paint the gingerbread details.

A bit of pink highlighted the rest of the walls.

In order to add dimension, I used puffy paint to fill in the remaining details.

I like to outline the area first before filling in.  You don't have to worry about any paint in the wrong areas because the puffy paint will cover it up anyway.

Here is a pic partway through applying the puffy paint.

And here is one with all of the color details in place.

The made over pan is now ready to be displayed in my breakfast room with the rest of my candy themed Christmas collection!
